Publishing venues

Publisher organizations contribute venues to the Venues Library so other organizations can copy them as starting points. Becoming a publisher is opt-in and per-organization.

Becoming a publisher

A global admin enables publisher status for an organization from the admin panel:

  1. Open AdminOrganizations and select the target organization.
  2. Toggle Library publisher on. The change takes effect immediately.

Once enabled, organization admins see Library controls on each venue.

Listing a venue

As an admin of a publisher organization:

  1. Open the venue in the editor.
  2. Open the Library panel from the sidebar.
  3. Toggle List in library to On.
  4. The venue is added to the library catalog and becomes visible to other organizations on the same instance (and to federated consumer instances if federation is configured).

You can unlist a venue at any time. Unlisting removes it from new browse results but does not affect existing copies — copies are frozen and remain owned by the organization that copied them.

What gets shared

When you list a venue, the library exposes:

  • The venue layout (sections, rows, seats, GA blocks).
  • The schema thumbnail and preview image.
  • The PDF underlay or background image, if present.
  • The venue name and your organization name (display only).

Pricing, events, bookings, customer data, and tenant configuration are never shared. The library is layout-only.

Who copied my venue?

Per-publisher visibility into who copied your venue is intentionally not exposed in this release. Global admins can review the full audit log if you need to investigate a specific concern.

Provenance

Every copy carries the source instance, the source venue, and your organization’s display name at the time of copy. These travel with the schema and surface in admin views on the consumer side, so the source is always traceable.
