Keyboard Shortcuts
The venue editor supports keyboard shortcuts for common actions, helping you work faster without reaching for the toolbar.

Layers and modes
Press a number key to switch the active canvas layer or jump to a mode:

The venue shape, crop guide and grid are toggles on the canvas pill rather than modes — see Canvas Layers.

When shortcuts are disabled
Shortcuts are automatically paused in these situations:
- Text inputs – when you are typing in an input field (e.g., renaming a section or editing a seat number), key presses go to the field instead.
- Modals – when a dialog is open, all shortcuts are paused except Escape, which closes the dialog.
Platform differences
On macOS, shortcuts that use Ctrl on Windows and Linux use Cmd instead. For example, Ctrl+S becomes Cmd+S. Single-key shortcuts (number keys, bracket keys, I) work the same on all platforms.
